Running Challenge: Days 1-9

Day 1 - Tuesday 11.1.2011
Morning run: Treadmill intervals - 2.75 miles, 30 minutes
Afternoon run: 1.5 miles (Round 1 of the Tone It Up Trick or Treat workout)
Total Miles: 4.25




Day 2 - Wednesday 11.2.2011
Treadmill Run: 3 miles, Time: 26:45, Calories Burned: 504
*Please note my inability to spell treadmill!* LOL

Day 3 - Thursday 11.3.2011
Outside run: Temp - 22 degrees, Wind: 4mph (Brrrr!)
3 Miles, Time - 24:13
27 days to go! ;)

Day 4 - Friday 11.4.2011
Treadmill Interval (Jog/Run/Sprint)
Miles - 2.7 Time - 25:00 Calories Burned - 453

Day 5 - Saturday 11.5.2011
Treadmill Run with Rachael at YMCA
4 Miles, Time - 34:08, Calories Burned - 409

Day 5 - Only 25 to go! ;)

Day 6 - Sunday 11.6.2011
Walk/Sprint Intervals on Treadmill
1.9 miles, Time: 20:00, Calories Burned - 325



Day 7 - Monday 11.7.2011
Moonlight Run!!  Temp - 27 F, Wind 0
2.6 miles, Time - 20:59

I left home this morning at 7:30am because I had meeting out of town for work and I didn't arrive home until 11:30pm.  I was not about to end my running streak so as soon as I walked in the door I threw on my running gear and headed out the door for a quick moonlight run.  I couldn't believe there was absolutely NO wind tonight.  After the past three days of 30-40 mph winds, it felt fantastic to run outside and not on the treadmill.  I'm going to crash now, GOODNIGHT! :)

Day 8 - Tuesday 11.8.2011
Outdoor Night Run - 8:00pm - Temp 31 F, Wind 4mph
5 miles, Time: 42:20

So far I my body is feeling pretty good.  I am going to try to keep my runs 5 miles or less during this 30 day challenge.  I notice when I run 6+ miles my neck injury flares up and pain shoots down into my shoulder.  I use a foam roller on my legs and back after runs to help relieve any soreness in my muscles, it's a slice of heaven!  I found my foam roller at Walmart for about $14! I did the circuit shown above 4 times with a 0.5 mile run at the end of each round.
