*Healthy BBQ's*

I L.O.V.E a good BBQ (or sloppy joe if you prefer)!  Here is my healthified version! ;)

INGREDIENTS:
1 lb. Lean Ground Turkey
1 C Chopped White Onion
1/2 C Grated Carrot
1/2 C Chopped Mushrooms
1 C Chopped Spinach (optional)
1/3 C Ketchup (no sugar added)
1 T Vinegar
2 T Mustard
Salt, Pepper, Chili Powder, Garlic Powder

Mmmmm....fresh veggies!


Saute onions with 2 T olive oil on Med heat until they start to look clear.  Then add in your mushrooms and carrots.  Cook for about 4-5 minutes then take veggies out of pan and set aside.  Brown ground turkey with seasoning and then add veggies back in. 


Once you have the groud turkey and veggies mixed add in the ketchup, mustard, vinegar and seasoning.  Simmer for about 10 minutes stirring often. 


Healthiest Option:
Serve in a lettuce wrap

If you are on the Tone It Up plan you can have this at lunch with bread and cheese! :)
1 Slice of Ezekiel bread toasted, top with bbq and one slice of provolone cheese.  Broil in the oven on high for 2 mintues.  ENJOY!!! :)
